PERU, Ind. - The UIndy women's golf team kicked off their 2024-25 season at the Midwest Ladies Collegiate placing 6th. The competition took place at Rock Hollow Golf Cub with Missouri-St. Louis acting as the host.

INS & OUTS
The field included 16 teams including UMSL, Findlay, and Ashland, who competed against the Greyhounds at the
national championship last May. Five other teams qualified for the 2024 NCAA DII East Regional.

Junior
Ava Ray led the Hounds, finishing at T-16, completing the tournament at +13 (79-78-71) and hitting -1 in the final round. Ray secured an eagle in the final round on the fifth hole and added two birdies during the final 18 holes.

Freshman
Lexi Stuart placed T-25 in her first collegiate tournament, shooting +16. Junior
Macey Brown was two strokes behind Stuart at +18, grabbing a share of 29th place.

Abby Stone finished at +20 and sophomore
Caroline Whallon settled at +26. Senior
Ellen Caton competed as an individual at the event, shooting +29.

"Our first tournament showed stretches of good golf but overall not near what we're capable of as a group," said head coach
Andy Serketich. "I was proud of our attitudes and fight…we will only get better from here. Quick turnaround as we are back in action this weekend down in Dallas! We are excited to head down there and compete in a very strong, national field."
UP NEXT
The Greyhounds will travel to Denton, Texas for the DBU Classic. Hosted by Dallas Baptist, the three-day event will begin on Sunday, Sept. 15 and last through Tuesday, Sept. 17 at Wildhorse Gold Club.
