CHARLESTON, Ill. – The No.
3/6 ranked UIndy swimming & diving teams concluded their 2025 calendar-year schedule with a busy weekend. Some of the Greyhounds' fastest swimmers competed at the prestigious U.S. Open Championships in Austin, Texas, Wednesday through Saturday, while the bulk of the Hounds managed to sweep Division I Eastern Illinois in a dual meet on Saturday.

U.S. OPEN HIGHLIGHTS
Senior
Celina Schmidt proved to be the biggest standout at the U.S. Open, earning a pair of top-20 finishes preliminary times. The two-time national champ posted the 16th-fastest time in the 200 breaststroke while her 100 breast time was good for 18th.

Meanwhile, UIndy dominated the DI Panthers with a convincing sweep. The Hounds won 23 o the 28 swimming events. Three Hounds on the men's side recorded fresh B-cuts, including
Jan Schmidt and
Durukan Sahan who went 1-2 in the 1000 free. Schmidt's mark of 9:13.49 was good for No. 7 on the UIndy top 10 list.

Nico Basten also hit an NCAA B standard, winning the men's 200 back with a time of 1:46.94—also good for a spot in the program's top 10.

Namutebi and Gregory each earned to event wins after also competing in Austin.
Caroline Reinke won the women's 100 back,
Hanna Burke took first in the women's 100 free, while
Zachary Anthony touched first in the men's 50 free.
