Three Hounds Recognized in GLVC Postseason Awards Announcement

INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy men's basketball team was represented on the 2025 All-GLVC postseason teams, announced Wednesday. Dashawn Jackson was voted to the league's second team, while Tucker Tornatta was selected as part of the All-Freshman squad.

The GLVC postseason awards are voted on by the league's 15 head coaches. Per conference rules, coaches are not permitted to vote for their own players.

In addition to Jackson and Tornatta, Brody Whitaker was named the team's James R. Spalding Sportsmanship nominee.

Jackson led the team in scoring with 15.9 points per game, which ranked ninth in the league during the 2024-25 season. The junior shot nearly 36 percent from 3-point range, drilling 68 triples in 28 games. Jackson also led the team with 81 assists and averaged 4.0 rebounds per game. The Lexington, Ky., product scored 20 or more points on seven occasions, including four times against GLVC opponents.

Tornatta is the first Greyhound represented on the GLVC All-Freshman team since Jesse Bingham in 2021 and third overall, joining Tate Hall in 2017. The Evansville, Ind., native posted three double-doubles this winter, while securing a season-high 14 rebounds against Roosevelt. In addition to playing in all 28 games, Tornatta drew 15 starts, including 11 during the conference slate. He averaged 7.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists.
