LEBANON, ILL – In their opening GLVC dual, the #16 University of Indianapolis men's tennis team defeated McKendree University 4-1. The Greyhounds improve to 13-3 on the season. 

This is the ninth consecutive win for the Hounds, with the win streak dating back to a 4-3 win over then-ranked #5 Columbus State on February 16th.

INS AND OUTS
UIndy opened the match with a 2-0 victory in the doubles point. David Simeonov and Matthieu Derache delivered a 6-0 bagel to Bendix Schroeder and Felix Diedrichs in #1 doubles to draw first blood. 

This was followed by a 6-3 win in #2 doubles from Tadeo Gaggiofatto and Asier Ayllon Prado over Aimar Oregui and Luka Kalenic. 

In singles play, Simeonov pounced on Seb Holden 6-3 6-1 in the #1 slot to give the Hounds a 2-0 advantage. 

Ayllon Prado added a straight-set win at #3 singles, taking down Schroeder 6-4 6-2. Gaggiofatto wrapped up the afternoon with a 6-0 6-4 win at #5 singles to clinch the match.
