INDIANAPOLIS – In their first match of April, the University of Indianapolis women's tennis team swept Goshen College 7-0. The Greyhounds improve to 6-5 on the year.
INS AND OUTS
The clean sheet began in doubles action, where UIndy took home all three matches. The first win came from Suryanshi and Linya Chen at #3 doubles, where they blanked Arianngel Mosquera and Morgan Preibe 6-0.
Tyffaine Pais and Sofia Cardenas followed with a 6-1 win over Uliana Dotsenko and Ariadna Otin Callaghan at #1 doubles, while Silvia Zappoli and Jimena De Pablos Hernando won 6-3 at #2 doubles.
In singles, the Hounds took home straight set victories in every contest. De Pablos Hernando won 6-1 6-0 over Sara Nino at #3 singles to begin the onslaught, then Chen overpowered Dotsenko 6-3 6-3 at #2 singles.
Pais overpowered Blanka Bodo 6-4 6-3 at #1 singles to give UIndy a 4-0 lead, while Zappoli made quick work of Otin Callaghan at #4 singles, with a 6-3 6-0 win.
The afternoon was wrapped up by 6-1 6-0 win at #5 singles from Cardenas, and a 6-1 6-0 win from Andrea Garcia in #6 singles.

The Hounds will enter GLVC competition next Saturday, April 12, on the road at McKendree at 2 PM.
