GREENWOOD, Ind. – In the Midwest Regional final, the No. 17 University of Indianapolis men's tennis team took down No. 30 Ferris State 4-0. The victory secures their place in the NCAA DII Men's Tennis Championship Tournament In Altamonte Springs, Flo.
The Greyhounds have now appeared in the NCAA Championship Tournament for the 10 straight years. Today's sweeping effort was their 17th consecutive win, and their third-straight sweep.

After a back-and-forth affair, the Hounds were on the board first, taking the doubles point with wins at #2 and #3 doubles.
Asier Ayllon Prado and Tadeo Gaggiofatto quickly worked through Adrian Catahan and Jose Perez 6-1 on court #2 to open the doubles competition.
The No. 42 doubles tandem of Erik and Kevin Kovacs downed David Simeonov and Matthieu Derache in #3 singles to level partner play at 1-1.
It all came down to #3 doubles, where Manu Lanteri and Lorenzo Di Cursi manned a comeback win against Milo Leuenberger and Kacper Pasielak, with the final result being 7-5.
The Hounds found a 2-0 advantage early in singles play after Ayllon Prado breezed past Alesandro Santangelo 6-1, 6-1 at #2 singles.
Tadeo Gaggiofatto extended the UIndy lead up to 3-0 after a straight-set win over Perez in #5 singles. After rolling through the first set 6-1, and clinging to the winner's circle with a 6-4 win in the second.
The Hounds' most-tenured player was the one to clinch the sweep and ticket to Nationals, as Derache overpowered Felipe Iser in #5 singles. The Junior took the first set 6-2, and secured the second set in a hair-raising tiebreaker, winning 7-3 in a second-set breaker.
