ALLENDALE, Mich. — The UIndy women's team competed in a stacked field this week at the Folds of Honor Challenge at The Meadows Golf Club, held Monday through Wednesday. The team placed sixth, and were highlighted by freshman Paige Giovenco, who finished T2 after three stellar rounds of golf.Â
The 10 team field this week was loaded with 2025 NCAA DII National Championship teams; reigning national champion Dallas Baptist, Findlay, Grand Valley State, West Texas A&M, and UIndy.

Giovenco showed off this week why she was a two-time qualifier for the Junior PGA Championship, finishing with a 54 hole score of even par, including a stellar first round 69 (-2) that saw Giovenco make six birdies. She also led the field on the week in birdies (14), and par 3 scoring (-3), and compiled the least amount of bogies on the week with eight.
"Paige played a lot of amazing golf this week, I'm so proud of her and how she's settled into college golf," head coach Andy Serketich said.
Ava Ray continued the hot start to her senior campaign, finishing T10 with a +9 score. She gained shots on the field every day, by shooting at least three shots better than the scoring average every round. This top-10 finish for Ray is her second on the season, and the 23rd in her time as a Greyhound.
"Ava also played solid and finished top 10, she's had a great start to the year," Serketich said.
Freshman Valentina Cortez and Lucile Ceolin both added another top 30 finish this week with a 23rd and 24th place finish, respectively. Cortez bested her finish last week at the UIndy Fall Invitational with a +18 score, while Ceolin finished two shots behind Cortez with a +20 score.
Junior Caroline Whallon finished with a 37th place finish, +27, and senior Macey Brown settled at 39th with a +33 score.
"A bit of a mixed bag result wise for us this week," Serketich said. "We had some great individual performances but were not able to put 4 scores together for any day. We'll keep working and look forward to the next opportunity in a few weeks".
