Fresh off a win against GLVC foe McKendree, the Hounds will travel just under seven hours to Fayette, IA, to face the #25 Upper Iowa Peacocks. Redshirt Freshman Tyler Parrish led the Greyhound offense with a career-high 25 points off 5-6 shooting from 3-point range.
Thursday marks just the third meeting between the Greyhounds and the Peacocks, with the series tied at 1 apiece. Upper Iowa took the 93-76 win in the last meeting in Nicoson Hall on Jan. 11, 2025.
UPPER IOWA
The Peacocks sit atop the GLVC in field goal percentage, second in points per game and third in offensive rebounds per game. The squad ranks 11th nationally in assists-to-turnover ratio (1.52) and 12th in turnover margin (5.4).
Upper Iowa is led by Redshirt Junior Kyle Hrncir, who leads the conference in rebounds per game, is fifth in points per game, and fourth in assists per game. Hrncir's seven double-doubles put him top five nationally this season.
The Peacocks are 5-0 in conference play with a big win over Missouri S&T, which was ranked #5 when the two squads met in early December.
UIndy and Upper Iowa have faced three similar opponents thus far: Parkside, UMSL, and Maryville. The Hounds are 2-1 against common opponents with an overtime loss against the Rangers, while the Peacocks are 3-0 against common opponents.
