COLUMBUS, Ohio – The UIndy women's bowling Grey team earned a third-place finish at the Capital Classic on Sunday, while
Taylor Stace and
Madi Pigott were named to the event's all-tournament team.
Â
Stace and Pigott are the first pair of Greyhounds to play their way onto an all-tourney squad in program history. Stace finished second overall as an individual with 633 total pins, while Pigott placed fourth.
Â
"I'm really proud of all the ladies," said head coach
Cam Estes. "They worked hard and competed all day. We are young, but each time out, they continue to amaze me with the grit and determination of a much more experienced group."
Â
Stace bounced back from the team's first tournament, rolling a 237 in the opening game on Sunday. The sophomore followed it up with a 197-199 to earn runner-up honors. Pigott nearly joined her with a 600 series, capping the three-game effort with a 209 to finish with 584 total pins.
