Former Big Ten starter Travis Carroll joins the UIndy staff in 2014-15. The 6-9 Danville, Ind., native, who played in 125 games at Purdue University from 2010-14, will work with the Greyhound post players.
Carroll compiled a .529 career field goal percentage at Purdue, starting a total of 29 games for the Boilermakers. He made 20 starts and averaged 17.1 minutes per game as a sophomore, helping Purdue to a sixth straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
As a prep, Carroll was a star at Danville High School in Danville, Ind. There he led the team to a regional title as a senior after averaging 19.6 points, 12.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. He was a two-time member of the Indianapolis Star Super Team, earning the publication's 2010 All-West Player of the Year award as well as 2009-10 Gatorade Indiana Player of the Year accolades.
