Kat Ruark

Primary ATC: Men's & Women's Basketball

Kat Ruark returned toi the UIndy Sports Medicine staff in the summer of 2025. Ruark spent the the 2024-25 year at IU Indianapolis with the men's basketball program after serving as the UIndy hoops athletic trainer in 2023-24. Ruark also has clinical experience with local programs such as Marian and Butler Unversity, as well as having worked with Syracuse football. 

Ruark is a 2022 graduate of the University of Indianapolis with her Master of Science in Athletic Training. She attained her Bachelor of Arts in Cell and Molecular Biology in 2018 from DePauw.

Ruark is a member of National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association, and Indiana Athletic Trainers’ Association, and holds certifications in Level 1 Bloodflow Restriction Training and Core4 Emergency Response Training Program, and serves as a preceptor for the UIndy MSAT Program.

A native of Terre Haute, Ind., Ruark resides in Indianapolis with her dog, Heath.
