Kai Lemke joined the UIndy tennis staff as a Graduate Assistant Coach in 2018-19
Before joining the Hounds, Lemke competed as a student-athlete at Division I University of Memphis. He captained the team to three consecutive ncaa tournament appearances. Memphis achieved a team ranking of 16 in 2018. Playing mainly on position 2-3 he achieved a career high ranking of 86 in singles and 42 in doubles.
Lemke received one all-conference doubles team award along with two all-conference academic awards. Additionally, Lemke competed as high as the second league is his home country of Germany and was ranked top 120 in the men’s open ranking.Â
As a collegiate student-athlete at Memphis, Lemke studied Sport Management. Following graduation, he worked in a marketing agency in Memphis before coming to the Greyhounds.
A native of Trebur, Germany, Lemke is pursuing his master’s degree in management at UIndy. He has a brother, Tim who is a police officer.
