Casey Hebenstreit

Primary ATC: Wrestling, M/W Tennis, Volleyball

Hired in the fall of 2018, Casey Hebenstreit serves as an assistant athletic trainer primarily responsible for wrestling.
 
Hebenstreit, an Indianapolis native, came to UIndy after working as an athletic trainer with Community Health Network covering Fall Creek Valley Middle School, as well as the assistant athletic trainer with the Indy Fuel Professional Hockey. Casey completed his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Indiana University in 2011 and received his national athletic training certification that same year. 
 
Hebenstreit worked with a multitude of sports at IU, along with Bloomington South High School and with Volunteers in Medicine in Bloomington. After IU, Casey started working towards a master’s degree at San Jose State University. He was a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Monterey Peninsula College in Monterey, Calif., for two years before taking the job as Head Athletic Trainer at Half Moon Bay High School in Half Moon Bay, Calif. While living in California, Casey worked as track side medical for the Moto GP U.S. Grand Prix and FIM World Superbike Championships at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, Calif., as well as an athletic trainer for the 2012 United States Gymnastics Olympic Trials and the 2012 U.S. Figure Skating Championships both held in San Jose.
 
Casey relocated to San Antonio, Texas in 2014 where he spent three years as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Our Lady of the Lake University. While in San Antonio, he was able to work as an athletic trainer at the 2017 San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. Casey was awarded the 2017 Red River Athletic Conference Athletic Trainer of the Year Award.
 
Hebenstreit moved back home to Indianapolis in June of 2017 with his wife Melissa.
