Andrea Walker enters her fifth year as a member of the UIndy Athletics department in 2023-24 as the Associate A.D. for Academics. In addition to her academic advising duties, Walker serves as the department's Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) and is an advisor for UIndy's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Walker is an active member of National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), Indiana Advising Academic Network (IAAN), Women in College Sports, and Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women. Walker was also selected to serve as the Athletics Department representative for Six Sigma institutional evaluation due to the athletics department having the highest student retention rate.

Prior to joining the athletics department, Walker served as an Academic Advisor across campus, working directly with student advisees to devise academic plans and success strategies. She also worked closely with faculty advisors and department chairs to monitor student success, as well as participated in all key departmental operations including track statistics, proper file documentation, and strategic planning and program assessment.

Walker had two separate stints with the Art Institute of Indianapolis, working as the Associate Director of Admissions and later as an Academic Advisor. In between posts with the Art Institute, Walker was the Program Manager at AmeriCorps Montana Conservation Corps in Helena, Mont., supervising field coordinators and overseeing crew performance and productivity.

From January to November 2008, Walker was a team leader for AmeriCorps NCCC in Perry Point, Md., before serving as a crew leader for AmeriCorps Montana Conservation Corps in Missoula, Mont., from February to November 2009.

Walker graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Butler University in 2005. She competed as a member of the softball team from 2001-2005, while being a team captain during her senior season.
