Ashley Balazs, a former softball student-athlete at GLVC-foe Drury, joins the Greyhounds for her first year as a graduate assistant.
Balazs was a four-year member of the Panthers' softball squad. She started every contest during her four years in a Drury uniform, and holds career records in six catagories. She is the Panthers' career leader in hits (171), tied for most RBIs (92), doubles (34), total bases (228), tied for most walks (60) and at bats (665).
While at Drury, Balazs also was a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee member and a three-time Academic All-GLVC selection.
In addition to her time at Drury, Balazs also has experience with coaching high school summer ball and with the organization of clinics through Strictly Softball.
Balazs holds a Bachelor of Arts in exercise and sport science from Drury, which she obtained in May of 2011. She is working towards her Masters in Business Administration at UIndy.
