Carson Hackerd joined the Greyhound staff as a Graduate Assistant in the fall of 2021. She comes to Indianapolis after earning a bachelor’s in Educational Studies at Ohio Dominican University the previous spring.

A native of Frankfort, Ind., Hackerd was a four-year starter at ODU, playing in 162 games and compiling a career .346 batting averaging. As the Panthers’ leadoff hitter last spring, she topped the team in hits and doubles, ranking second in the G-MAC in the latter. She capped her collegiate career by leading the program to a pair of wins at the NCAA DII Midwest Regional in its first postseason appearance sine 2014.
