Indianapolis native Trista (Cox) Sunderland returns to the Circle City to join the Greyhound coaching staff in 2016. A two-time all-state honoree at nearby Roncalli High School, Sunerland played her collegiate ball at Louisville (2012) and Central Michigan (2013-15). The standout third baseman was a three-time All-MAC performer at CMU, including an All-MAC First Team honoree her senior season.

Sunderland helped the Chippewas to an NCAA Regional berth in 2013 – their first since 2004 – and later garnered Academic All-District accolades in 2014. Her 12 home runs and 40 RBI as a junior were good for third and fifth, respectively, in the program record book.

Sunderland graduated Magna Cum Laude from CMU in May of 2015 with a B.S. in Business Marketing. She is currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Sports Management.
