UIndy women’s lacrosse head coach Peyton Romig announced the addition of Casey Korb to the coaching staff for the upcoming 2024 season.
Korb most recently was the Assistant Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, and Defensive Coordinator at Young Harris College, a fellow NCAA DII member currently competing in Conference Carolinas.
“I want to thank Coach Romig and the UIndy Athletics department for this amazing opportunity,” said Korb. “I can’t wait to help build on the success of this program and rep the Greyhounds!”
While at Young Harris, Korb coached a pair of All-Gulf South Mountain Lions in Taylor Greenberg and Ella Hancock, the former of whom also earned CSC (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District accolades in 2022.
“I’m so excited to welcome Casey to the staff,” said Romig. “She brings a lot of knowledge, innovation, and energy to UIndy.”
Korb previously served as an assistant coach at NCAA DII institutions Marian University and Carthage College, as well as Black Lax, an elite high school club lacrosse program. While at Marian in 2021, Korb was a site representative during the preliminary rounds of the NCAA Championship.
“I have been impressed with her attention to detail, passion, and commitment to continuing the success of our program,” Romig continued. “I am thrilled for our student-athletes, coaching staff, and program to benefit from her addition!”
The Naperville, Ill., native played three collegiate seasons, the final two at Carthage before becoming the team manager. Korb graduated in 2019 with degrees in marketing and studio art from Carthage before earning her master’s in management from Marian in 2021.
