Graduate assistant Tristyn Kuehn completed her first season with the Greyhounds in 2017. The former student-athlete and Coastal Carolina University alum will work with the UIndy goalies.
She helped the Hounds more than double their win total from 2016, going 13-5 overall and 5-2 in the GLIAC. Individually, Kuehn helped sophomore keepers Irene Carlquist and Lauren Granville finish first and second, respectively, in goals-against average among GLIAC goalies.
As a whole, UIndy's defense finished first in the GLIAC allowing only 7.40 goals per game.
Kuehn has several years of coaching experience under her belt. She spent a total of seven summers as a head goalie coach for a high school lacrosse camp, as well as being an assistant goalie coach for Coastal Carolina University’s lacrosse clinic in 2013. Kuehn also oversaw youth goalies whose ages ranged from 9-18 years and improved their skills and techniques of the game. She instructed sessions on hand-eye coordination, clearing lessons, and critiqued form and technical skills.
Kuehn garnered four varsity letters at Coastal Carolina University before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She is currently working towards her Masters in Social Work.
