Anna Nelson joined the UIndy Sports Medicine team in January 2024 as Assistant Athletic Trainer. Her primary sports include women’s lacrosse and women’s soccer.
Nelson came to UIndy after working as an athletic trainer with Franciscan Health Network covering Heritage Christian School’s high school and middle school teams. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University in May of 2022 before graduating with her Master of Science in Athletic Training degree from Indiana University in May of 2024. Nelson received her national athletic training certification that same year. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
While at Indiana, Anna aided in the care of student-athletes for the school’s women’s soccer, softball, wrestling, and football programs. She also had the opportunity to work with IU’s Jacob School of Music ballet program, as well as Bloomington South High School.
Nelson is originally from LaPorte, Ind., and currently resides in Indianapolis.
