Notable achievements of the teams he covered included the men's soccer team making a trip to the NCAA Division II national semifinal, both swimming & diving programs collecting top-five team finishes at the DII Championships, and the baseball team appearing in the GLVC tournament.
Prior to UIndy, Budke began his journey in sports information by working as an intern for two years at NAIA-member Lindsey Wilson College. While at LWC, he was directly involved with the athletic department and all efforts related to sports information. He played a key role in helping promote and cover the Blue Raiders who successfully won a handful of Mid-South Conference championships across several sports alongside the 2020-21 NAIA football national title.
Budke graduated from Kansas State University in 2019 where he received a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications. He recently completed a master's degree in Sport Management from UIndy in May. Â
During his undergrad days at K-State, Budke held a position as a student worker at K-StateHD.TV where he aided the video broadcasting of Wildcat sports through the network. He also spent two years as a summer intern with the Victoria Generals, a summer collegiate baseball team who competes in the Texas Collegiate League. While with the Generals, he served as a play-by-play broadcaster and social media assistant.Â
A native of Beloit, Kan., Budke also held a position as a Media Coordination & Statistics Intern at the NCAA from January of 2022 through June of 2023. He currently resides in Indianapolis.
