Corey Cole took over as the UIndy Diving Head Coach in 2022-23 and helped the Hounds orchestrate an historic season. Cole coached the Greyhounds to one of their most-successful performances at Nationals. Five UIndy divers combined for 10 All-America honors, including a pair of event national championships by Julio Osuna.
Osuna won both diving events, including the program's first-ever title on the 3-meter board. along with Jason Lenzo and Cade Hammond, the Hounds went 1-2-3 on the men's 1-meter, springboarding Cole himself to 2023 CSCAA Division II Men's Diving Coach of the Year accolades.
On the women's side, Mikaela Starr finished in the top eight on both boards, while Alexis Lumaj earned a pair of All-America Second Team nods.
Meanwhile, the Greyhound men went on to capture their first-ever team national title, while the UIndy women secured their second straight runner-up finish at Nationals.
At the conference meet, UIndy swept the GLVC Diver of the Year awards, with Starr taking the women's top honor and Hammond and Osuna sharing the men's award. The Greyhound women hoisted the team trophy while the men took runner-up.
