ITA Midwest Men’s Assistant Coach of the Year … coached the men’s and women’s teams to GLVC Championships … helped the men’s team reach an ITA rank of #1 in the nation … also assisted the men’s team to reach the fifth seed at the DII … led the men’s team to the quarter final of the 2024 DII National Championship … guided the women’s team to a Sweet 16 appearance in the 2024 DII National Championship.

PERSONAL
Carlos Theirau Cuco comes to the University of Indianapolis after playing four years of college tennis at NAIA Ave Maria University and one at NCAA DII Bluefield State. While at Ave Maria, Thireau Cuco was a force for the Gyrenes, becoming one of six players in program history with ten or more singles wins in one season, going 11-8 in 2022 and 8-7 in 2023, ending a career that landed him second most in singles wins in Ave Maria history with 33. Ended his career with the Gyrenes in fifth all time for doubles victories as well. Earned Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete in 2022 and Sun Conference All-Academic Team honors in 2021 and 2022.
