Tatiana Larina just finished her first season with the Greyhounds, joining Head Coach Malik Tabet's staff as a graduate assistant.
She helped the Greyhounds win a GLVC Championship and reach the NCAA Division II Championships. UIndy's 18 wins during Larina's first season also tied a program record, as the Hounds soared to No. 13 in the nation.
Before UIndy, Larina spent several months working as a Tennis Coach at the Orlando Tennis Academy in Orlando, Florida, and participated in the Disney College Program Internship.
Originally from Taganrog, Russia, Larina earned four letters as a tennis student-athlete at Northwestern State, a Division I school in Natchitoches, Louisiana. She earned numerous accolades while competing for the Lady Demons, including multiple All-Southland selections, All-Louisiana Collegiate Women's Tennis Second Team (2015) and All-Louisiana Freshman of the Year (2012). She was named to All-Southland doubles first team all four seasons.
As a senior (2014-15), Larina led the Lady Demons to their second NCAA Tournament and Southland Conference championship in three seasons, compiling a 21-2 record at No. 1 doubles and 10-8 mark in No. 1 singles. She finished her career second in program history in dual match doubles wins (68) and seventh in career dual match singles victories (55), and her .832 career doubles winning percentage is second all-time at NSU.
Off the court, Larina was recognized as a Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete, and earned multiple Academic All-Southland honors.
