Dr. Brian Gerlach

Brian Gerlach returned to the University of Indianapolis as the Associate A.D. for Sports Medicine in December of 2018 after previously working at UIndy as an Athletic Trainer from 2008-12. Gerlach earned his Doctorate of Health Sciences from UIndy in 2020.

Gerlach most recently spent time with the professional soccer team, Indy Eleven, where he was the Head Athletic Trainer for five seasons. He also has experience with DC United of Major League Soccer. Gerlach also works with the United States Soccer Federation as a part time athletic trainer with the youth National Teams and the US Paralympic Soccer team. 
Gerlach is a graduate of James Madison University's athletic training education program, and has a Master's degree in Sport Science from High Point University in North Carolina. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Gerlach lives in New Palestine with his wife, Kyleigh, his son Beckett and daughter Kaylin.
