Ivan Lopouchanski

Lopouchanski enters his third year as an assistant coach with the Greyhounds after joining the staff in the 2021-22 season. He carries four years of Division I wrestling experience, wrestling two years at UNC-Greensboro and two years at Purdue University, where he would earn All-American honors in 2013 at the 149 class. After graduation, he went on to serve as a graduate assistant for the Boilermakers the following year. Post-Purdue, he has spent time working with both the Citadel and Clarion wrestling programs.

Outside of direct wrestling, Lopouchanski is experience in many forms of martial arts, holding a 2nd degree black belt in Judo and a first degree in Jiu-jitsu. In Judo, he captured the Junior National Championship in 2006. Lopouchanski also is prolific in sambo, a different form of wrestling, where he competed in the All-Armed Forces Freestyle Championship in 2020, representing the US Army. In those championships he would capture the 65KG title.
