Mitch Napier, a former Greyhound All-American wrestler, returns for his fourth year on Jason Warthan's coaching staff.
A two-time Indiana state champion at Monrovia High School, Napier wrestled at UIndy from 2000-2005. While a Greyhound, Mitch earned All-American honors in 2002 and 2003 and is one of only two UIndy wrestlers to be a four-time National Qualifier. He was also an Academic All-American during his time at UIndy. Napier appears in the UIndy wrestling record books in the top 10 in season wins (38 in 2000-03), career wins (114), freshman wins (26), career pins (30 in 2005) and freshman pins (9).
Napier earned his bachelor's degree in secondary education from UIndy in 2004. After graduating, he spent three years as an assistant coach at Monrovia under former Greyhound wrestler Todd Fakes. Napier currently works alongside his father in their family business. He is married to the former Pamela Schiff, who also attended UIndy. They reside in Martinsville, Ind.
