Howard joined the UIndy men's basketball coaching staff in the summer of 2024 as a graduate assistant.
Prior to UIndy, Howard coached under Lawrence North hall-of-fame coach Jack Keefer for four seasons before working under Chris Griffin for a pair of winters. While at his alma mater, Howard served as the junior varsity head coach for three seasons, accumulating an impressive 48-12 record. As an assistant for the varsity team, Howard was responsible for player development, primarily working with guards and perimeter players, notably coaching Indiana All-Stars Tony Perkins, Shamar Avance, and CJ Gunn.
As a collegiate player at DII Lake Erie College, Howard graduated in 2017 ranked 14th all-time in scoring with more than 1,000 points and fifth in career 3-pointers. He served as a two-year captain for the Storm, while earning his degree in Sports Management.
