On tap: The Greyhounds, fresh off their second win of the season, return home to host NAIA Brescia Wednesday prior to a Monday road tilt at Saginaw Valley State. UIndy will then host Temple Baptist prior to the start of the new calendar year and the re-opening of the conference slate.
About Brescia: The Bearcats are 8-5 on the season, winners of their last three and five of their last six. Brescia is led by Anthony Ingram's 16.6 ppg average and 15.2 ppg from Andrew Howard. Ingram is also the team's leading rebounder with 6.8 per contest.
About Saginaw Valley State: The Cardinals have lost each of their first five games and will be playing the Hounds on the back end of a three-game stretch in five days. SVSU will play league contests against Tiffin and Ashland on Thursday and Saturday, respectively, before Monday's tilt with UIndy. The Cards have three players that average double digits in points: Lawrence Ross (14.4) and Greg Foster (12.0) and Avery Stevenson (11.0). Stevenson is the team's top rebounder with a 6.4 clip per contest. Foster leads the GLIAC in minutes played, averaging 37.4 minutes a night.
UIndy Head Coach Stan Gouard: Stan Gouard is in his first season as the head man at Indianapolis. Gouard was introduced as the new head of the Greyhound program on Apr. 3, 2008. He previously spent three years as an assistant coach at Indiana State following his three-year stint as an assistant at UIndy. While at Indianapolis, Gouard was part of the staff that helped the Hounds to a 47-31 record, advancing to the NCAA tournament all three seasons.
Drive 55: Senior
Keith Radcliff poured-in 55 points in the two games at the Alderson-Broaddus Classic. He started things with a then-career-high 23 points and five steals in Saturday's win. He bested himself Sunday, registering 32 points, including 12-of-13 from the charity stripe. He raised his scoring average to 17.4 ppg with his efforts.
Double Triples: Radcliff extended a streak of consecutive games with at least two three-pointers made to eight. He has hit at least a pair in all eight games this season and currently ranks second in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with 23 three-pointers.
Six of one, half-dozen of another: The six Greyhound losses have come to teams that are having fantastic seasons. The combined records of Findlay, Hillsdale, Grand Valley State, Northern Kentucky, Bellarmine and Alderson-Broaddus is a whopping 36-6 (through Dec. 15).
