On tap:  UIndy, fresh off its first league win, will head west to Missouri in search of gathering more league wins and making its way back to the .500 mark.  The Hounds have a dozen games left on the regular season schedule to try to make a push for their first GLVC tournament appearance since 2004-05.

About Drury:  The Panthers are 11-4 overall and 4-1 in conference play, sitting a half-game back of the leaders in the GLVC West.  Drury is a spotless 8-0 at home this season and is 50-5 at Weise Gymnasium since joining the GLVC in 2005-06.  DU has posted a 26-4 record in home league games during that stretch, with UIndy handing-out one of those defeats nearly two years ago to the day (77-66, Jan. 13, 2006).  The 2008-09 Panthers are led in scoring by Chris Ijames, with his 13.6 points per game average.  DU's leading rebounder is Adam White (6.9 rpg) and their long-ball specialist Tim Brown has knocked-down 32 triples already this season.  UIndy is 1-2 all-time against the Panthers.

About Missouri S&T:  The Miners are winless in conference play coming into this week's action (0-5).  S&T, formerly Missouri-Rolla, has struggled since joining the GLVC back in the 2005-06 season.  With just two wins against 50 losses, the Miners have found life in one of the strongest D-II leagues difficult.  One of their conference wins, however, came against UIndy back in the 2006-07 season, a 85-71 win on Dec. 2 in their building.  This season, S&T features a balanced attack with four players averaging double figures in scoring.  Leading the bunch is Justin Taylor's 14.4 average.  UIndy holds a 2-1 series edge all-time against S&T.

UIndy Head Coach Stan Gouard Stan Gouard is in his first season as the head man at Indianapolis.  Gouard was introduced as the new head of the Greyhound program on Apr. 3, 2008.  He previously spent three years as an assistant coach at Indiana State following his three-year stint as an assistant at UIndy.  While at Indianapolis, Gouard was part of the staff that helped the Hounds to a 47-31 record, advancing to the NCAA tournament all three seasons.

Milestone Watch:  Several Greyhounds are pursuing personal milestones in the coming weeks, here is a look at some of the marks that are within reach:

Rank and File:  UIndy has played five ranked opponents this season, including two of three remaining unbeatens in all of NCAA Division II (Findlay, Bellarmine).  The combined record of the nine teams that UIndy has lost to this season is a staggering 93-27 (.775).  Only Hillsdale (5-7) does not currently have a winning record.

New “Cors” of Action:  Freshman Paul Corsaro joined the team for the spring semester, transferring from Youngstown State.  There, Corsaro was the quarterback for the Penguin football team and will join the Greyhounds on the gridiron as well.  He was a two-sport star at Roncalli High School, leaving as the school's all-time leading scorer in basketball.  Corsaro has ties to UIndy, as his mother, Susie (Kuntz) Corsaro was a standout volleyball player for current Greyhound Athletic Director Sue Willey from 1983-86.
