PAINESVILLE, Ohio--  The Greyhound men's basketball team dropped a heart-breaking 54-53 decision to Lake Erie College at the Osbourne Center Arena in non-conference action Sunday afternoon.   UIndy came all the way back from an 18-0 deficit to start the game, but Darnell Campbell's tip-in with four seconds left proved to be the winner.

The game didn't have the makings of a nail-biter after the opening minutes as UIndy (3-3) failed to score for over seven minutes and the Storm (4-6) racked-up an 18-0 lead.  DeWann Squires finally hit a triple to stop the bleeding and the Hounds immediately went to work on the large deficit.

The Greyhounds outscored the Storm 23-9 the rest of the way in the opening frame, allowing the visitors to inch within four, 27-23, at the break.

After Sergey Struck hit a pair of free throws to bring the Hounds all the way back at 42-apiece, UIndy eventually took its first lead, 48-47, with 3:14 left on a Struck layup.

However, after the teams traded baskets and leads, Lake Erie's Garrick Sims missed a jumper byt Campbell was there to tip it home with just four seconds remaining.  The Storm led 54-53 with Indianapolis needing to again run the length of the floor in the final seconds.  Thursday, Darius Adams dribbled his way to the rim and was fouled in the final seconds, hitting a pair of free throws to take a 55-54 win from Northern Kentucky.  With the scenario set up nearly identically, UIndy was unable to get away a shot on this night and fell to 0-3 on the road this season.

Adams led the Greyhounds offensively with 16 points, adding seven rebounds in the loss.  Struck scored a dozen and grabbed seven boards while Squires chipped-in 10 points.

UIndy will have a nine-day layoff from competition during finals week.  The Greyhounds return to the hardwood Dec. 15, hosting Cincinnati Christian at 7:30 p.m. to begin a six-game homestand.
