Division II Winter Festival
HOUSTON- The Greyhound women's indoor track and field squad earned its second All-American of the 2008-09 season Saturday at Yeoman Fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Houston.
Andrea Horban took eighth in the women's shot put to earn her second indoor All-American honor of her career.
Horban, a fifth-year senior, took eighth with a toss of 13.92 meters and earn the All-American honors. She won the women's shot put at the 2007 NCAA Indoor Nationals.
Emily Schaf was the only other Greyhound to compete Saturday, finishing 11th in the women's high jump, reaching 1.68 meters.
Overall, UIndy finished in 30th place with five points. Lincoln ran away with top honors on the 2009 indoor season with 100.5 points, with Grand Valley State taking second with 48 points. Central Missouri took third with 41 points.
The Greyhounds, the 2009 GLVC Indoor Track and Field champions, will now head into the outdoor portion of their schedule, heading to the Mike Poehlien Invitational at Purdue Mar. 28.
