On tap:  The Greyhounds continue a busy stretch, playing three games in a five-day stretch.   UIndy will play GLVC East foe Bellarmine before games with Lewis and Missouri S&T.   The Hounds go into the week in third place in the GLVC East, behind conference unbeatens Southern Indiana and Kentucky Wesleyan.

About BU:  The Knights are a disappointing 9-6 overall and 2-4 in the conference.  Dubbed the top team nationally in the Division II Bulletin Preseason poll,  BU is a game-and-half behind the third-place Greyhounds in the GLVC East.  Led by Justin Kendle's 16.9 points per game average, four different Knights have double-figure scoring averages.  BU is 0-5 in the opponent's gym this season, including a pair of close losses last week at Drury (78-74) and Rockhurst (70-68).

Series Record with the Knights:  The series with Bellarmine is tightly-contested with last year's season sweep giving the Knights a slim 41-40 advantage all-time.  BU has won the last three contests, a streak that followed three straight UIndy wins.

About LU:  The Flyers are 9-6 overall, but just 1-5 in league play this season.  Lewis is 0-4 in league road games thus far, losing all four in a row since the start of the calendar year.  Dennis Thomas, Jr. (16.0 ppg) and Chris McClellan (13.2) are each in the top 25 in scoring in the league.

Series Record with the Flyers: Lewis leads the all-time series 35-25.  The teams split the season series last season with the road team winning each time.

About S&T:  The Miners are 5-9 overall with a 1-5 conference mark heading into the weekend.  S&T relies on a freshman to provide scoring, as Bryce Foster leads the squad with his 13.8 points per game clip.

Series Record with the Miners: Each team has two wins in the all-time series which dates back to S&T's inaugural season in the GLVC, 2005-06.  The Miners were 72-62 victors in Rolla, Mo. last year.  The home team has come out on top in all four meetings.

UIndy Head Coach Stan Gouard:  Stan Gouard is in his second season and carries a 18-23 record as the Greyhound front man.  He previously spent three years as an assistant coach at Indiana State following his three-year stint as an assistant at UIndy.  While at Indianapolis, Gouard was part of the staff that helped the Hounds to a 47-31 record, advancing to the NCAA tournament all three seasons.

Last Time Out:  A 15-5 run over the final minutes boosted host Missouri-St. Louis to a 62-60 victory in Great Lakes Valley Conference play Saturday afternoon.  The Greyhounds squandered an eight-point lead and had a few looks to win it in the closing seconds but fell just short.   On Thursday, UIndy got 37 points from Darius Adams to run over Maryville, 106-80.

Pouring-In Points:  Two different Greyhounds have topped the 30-point mark this season.  DeWann Squires amassed 45 points in a win over Cincinnati Christian (Dec. 15) before Darius Adams dropped 37 on Maryville (Jan. 7).

Looking Ahead:  Following Monday's tilt at Missouri S&T, UIndy will return to the familiar Thursday-Saturday league slate.  The Hounds play host to the top two teams in the league, Southern Indiana and Kentucky Wesleyan, on Jan. 21 and 23, respectively.

Roster Changes:  Freshman Alex McGuire (Munster, Ind.) joined the UIndy roster and has already seen very limited action (vs. Lake Erie).   Also joining the team at the semester break is former IUPUI guard Adrian Moss.  The Franklin, Ind. product will be a junior for the Greyhounds next season and will not compete in the 2009-10 season.

Hounds on TV:  The Greyhounds are again scheduled to be on television this season with expanded coverage being provided on the UIndy Television Network.  Produced by HomeTown Television, the following five games will be televised via tape-delay and will air on HomeTown Sports Indiana (Comcast and Brighthouse): Dec. 3, Jan. 23, Feb. 4, 6 & 15.  Also, home games on Jan. 16 and 21 will air via webstream and will be available.  Check athletics.uindy.edu and click on “Live Stream” for more info.
