LOUISVILLE, Ky.- Host Bellarmine scored 50 second-half points to post a 78-67 victory in Great Lakes Valley Conference play Thursday night at Knights Hall. BU moved to within a half-game of the Greyhounds for third place in the GLVC East Division with the win.  Junior Nate Blank led all scorers with a season-best 23 points.  He also grabbed 10 rebounds to earn his second double-double in the last three games.

A four-and-a-half minute dryspell did the Hounds in on this night.  A back-and-forth game that featured 11 ties and 15 lead changes became a win for the home team during that scoreless stretch, turning a one-point UIndy lead into a 10-point Bellarmine advantage.

Following a three-pointer from Ryan Sims with 7:42 left to put the Hounds on top, 58-57, Justin Benedetti answered for the Knights to give them the lead for good with three of his team-high 22 points.  Benedetti scored seven points in the 11-0 run to put his team up, 68-58 with just over three minutes remaining.

A triple from Sergey Struck ended the run and UIndy got to back within seven a couple times but could not overcome the advantage, falling to 9-6, 3-3 in league play this season.

The first half was 28-all, 10 points coming from Blank to lead all scorers.  Blank has now scored in double digits in five of six road games this season.  Darius Adams added 14 points while Ryan Sims etched 10 in the loss.  Larry Woods grabbed eight rebounds.

UIndy will head back home to host Lewis University Saturday night at Nicoson Hall.  The game will be the annual "Pack the House" night, with alumni event and chili supper.

Notes: Blank's per-game scoring average is over six points better in away contests this year (14.2 road, 8.1 home) ... His previous UIndy high for points was 17 (11/24 at Urbana, 1/7 at Maryville) ... Head Coach Stan Gouard was serving a school-imposed one-game suspension and was not on the sidelines for the game.
