Q&A with Head Coach Stan Gouard

What did you think of the scoring distribution?

"It's great to have seven guys in double digits. I thought we did a good job of sharing the basketball. It started yesterday in practice, which was one of the best days with guys sharing the basketball and looking out for each other. Last week against Urbana over 60 percent of our shots were contested. Tonight, we did a good job of moving the basketball and getting open shots.

"Opponents can't key on one guy making a good pass. With those guys playing zone, we put Cody Vest in the high post and he did a good job of catching and looking opposite. Daniel Daudu is unselfish. All he cares about is winning. He doesn't have to score any points, but he's going to give you his all no matter the situation."

Final thoughts on the game

"We still have a lot of work to do, especially on the defensive end. I thought when we had chances to put these guys away, we didn't. We got a little bit relaxed falling into old habits. We have to improve our on-the-ball defense, our help side, our transition defense. There are a lot of wholes in our defense to fix and we have to do that going forward, especially with a conference game in one week. We have to take care of Brescia first and then move on, but we have a lot of work to do. Next week is going to be really key for those guys to come in and focus on the task at hand to be ready to go."
