INDIANAPOLIS -- The University of Indianapolis men's and women's swimming and diving teams will host Ashland in "The Pink Meet" on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Ruth Lilly Center Pool.
Student-athletes from both teams will wear pink head caps in the event that is raising awareness for cancer research.
The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rivals are two of the top teams in the nation. Last season, the Eagles' women finished seventh in the country and the men finished 10th. The Greyhound women finished ninth and the men finished 21st at nationals.
"Ashland is one of the top teams in the country and it will be an uphill battle for us, but I feel we can compete with their top swimmers and I expect a lot of exciting, close races." head coach
Gary Kinkead said.
This will be the second event of the season for the Hounds after competing at Purdue on Oct. 23.
For the Greyhound men,
