Darius Adams led the University of Indianapolis to victory, 87-67, over Wisconsin-Parkside with 24 points, seven assists, four rebounds and two steals at Nicoson Hall Thursday night.

Wilbur O'Neal added 19 points and six rebounds for the Greyhounds (15-4, 8-3 GLVC), while DeWann Squires had 16 points and six rebounds and Leland Brown added 11 points and career highs of six assists and six rebounds against the Rangers (7-12, 4-8 GLVC).

The Hounds shot 52.5 percent (31-59) with nine three-pointers and converted 16-of-19 free throws (.842), while holding Parkside to 40 percent (24-60), including just 7-of-25 in the first half. UIndy picked up eight steals and 30 defensive rebounds to lead to a 10-2 edge in fast-break points.

Wisconsin-Parkside was led by Tim Baines with 23 points, while Leneal Harris added 19.

The Hounds scored the first eight points of the game and 16 of the first 20 to build a double-digit lead five minutes into the game. UIndy kept up the pressure and used a 14-4 run to take its first 20-point lead, 32-12, with 5:59 left in the half on a nice feed from Adams to Brown for a lay-up. After briefly closing within 16, Parkside allowed an 11-5 run to end the half as Squires hit back-to-back triples to put the Greyhounds up 24, 45-21, at halftime.

The Rangers made 12-of-15 shots to open the second half to pull within 11, 65-54, with 8:36 left in the game. The Hounds pushed the lead back to 14, 71-57, but five more quick points closed the margin to nine, 71-62, with 4:39 to play.

O'Neal scored inside on a feed from Brown to start an 8-1 run that put UIndy comfortably up 16, 79-63, with 2:14 left on a put-back from Brown. Adams then salted the game away with eight points in the final 98 seconds to clinch the Hounds' 15th victory of the season.

UIndy remains at Nicoson Hall on Saturday at 7:45 p.m. against St. Joseph's College (9-10, 5-6 GLVC) for the Alumni Super Supper and Pack the House Night. The game will also be televised by Hometown Sports.
