SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Adrian Moss led the way with 17 points, seven assists, five rebounds and three steals, but No. 22 Indianapolis was defeated at Drury, 87-72, on Friday night at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
With 16 points, four rebounds and three steals,
Darius Adams became the 35th player in school history to compile more than 1,000 career points with 1,011. He also increased his streak to 30 consecutive games with 10 points or more.
Joe Daniels tied his career high with 10 points and
Cory Zackery had eight points and tied his career high with five rebounds for the Greyhounds (16-5, 9-4 GLVC) against the Panthers (16-5, 9-4 GLVC). The Hounds were eighth and Drury was ninth in the latest NCAA Midwest Region rankings entering the contest.
The Panthers, leaders in the GLVC West, were led by Alex Hall with 26 points, while Andrew Taylor had nine points and 12 rebounds.
The Hounds couldn't find the distance from behind the arc, hitting just 4-of-23 (.174), while the Panthers hit 9-of-20 (.450) on the way to finishing at 48.3 percent (29-60).
The Panthers were dominant on the glass, 48-30, leading to 19 second-chance points. The Greyhounds tried to counter with 11 steals and 20 forced turnovers, but only led 21-16 in points off turnovers.
Trailing by 14 at halftime, 48-34, the Hounds quickly fell behind further, 57-37, with 17:07 left in the game after a trio of triples by the Panthers. Head coach

Jarrett Hamilton, Zackery,
Cody Vest and Daniels into the game to play with Moss and the Hounds immediately went on a 13-1 run to close within eight, 58-50, with 12:55 to go after Zackery knocked down a long jumper in the corner.
A put-back by Hamilton kept UIndy within eight, 60-52, but the hole proved to be too much to climb out of as that would be the closest the game would be in the second half.
Adams stole the ball on Drury's first possession and went the distance to open the scoring for UIndy, but Drury scored the next 14 points to take control, 14-2, less than five minutes into the game. The lead eventually grew to 14, 22-8, when
Daniel Daudu converted a three-point play to start a 17-4 run by the Greyhounds. Moss canned a triple with 7:30 to play to close the margin to a single point, 26-25.
The Panthers re-grouped and in 64 seconds had scored seven points in a row to grow their lead back to eight, 33-25. The Panthers continued to pull away and closed the half back up by 14, 48-34, after they went the length of the court in four seconds to score on a lay-up at the halftime horn.
UIndy allowed Drury to shoot 54.5 percent (18-of-33) in the first half, while UIndy was 11-of-17 (.647) inside the arc, but only 3-of-16 (.188) behind its distance. UIndy also allowed 12 offensive rebounds that led to 15 second-chance Drury points.
The Greyhounds travel to Rockhurst (5-16, 3-10) to play the Hawks on Sunday at 2:15 ET.
