About Bellarmine:  The Knights are the Great Lakes Valley Conference champions after winning the tournament in St. Louis, Mo., last weekend. Bellarmine is first in the country in FG% (.520) to lead them to 13th in the country in scoring (83.9 ppg). GLVC Player of the Year Jeremy Kendle leads the team with 17.2 ppg, while First Team All-GLVC guard Braydon Hobbs is third in the country with 6.6 assists per game.

Series History:  The Greyhounds are 39-44 against Bellarmine after dropping both regular season outings. The Hounds fell 99-97 at Nicoson Hall and 80-70 at Knights Hall in the most recent meeting. The Hounds are trying to end a seven-game losing streak against the Knights and win at Knights Hall for the first time since Jan. 27, 2007.

Earlier Meetings:  In the two games this season, Darius Adams averaged 25.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg, while Adrian Moss chipped in 15.5 ppg, 5.0 apg and 3.5 rpg. The Hounds shot 49.2 percent from the field, but Bellarmine shot 51.9 percent. The Hounds were also out-rebounded by 9.5 per game.

Kendle averaged 22.0 ppg and Hobbs added 18.5 ppg, 7.5 apg and 5.5 rpg for BU in the regular season games.

Last game:  UIndy had three shots in the final 54 seconds, but were upset by No. 9 seed Lewis, 69-67, in the first round of the GLVC Tournament. The Greyhounds were led by Adams with 20 points and DeWann Squires added 16 points and career-high 11 rebounds. Lewis was led by Dennis Thomas, Jr., with 31 points and Chris McClellan chipped in 15 points.

NCAA Tournament:  UIndy is making its sixth NCAA Tournament appearance and first since 2005. The Greyhounds are 1-5 all-time with their only win coming in their first NCAA Tournament game, 105-81, over Lake Superior State in the 1996 NCAA Tournament in Evansville, Ind. The Hounds are playing a GLVC opponent for just the second time in the regional after falling at Southern Indiana in 1996.  For complete results and UIndy NCAA records check page 11.

Tourney Tested:  Head coach Stan Gouard has been the key to UIndy making the NCAA Tournament. The Greyhounds made the tournament three years in a row (2003-05) during Gouard's run as an assistant at UIndy. With Gouard on the bench, UIndy has made four of its six NCAA Tournament appearances.

Run to 20:  UIndy is one win away from reaching 20 wins for the ninth time in school history and the first time since the 2003-04 season (20-10). Stan Gouard would join Angus Nicoson (5), Royce Waltman (2) and Todd Sturgeon (1) as UIndy head coaches to win 20 games in a season.

Upward Trajectory:  Gouard has his MBB program moving in the right direction. He has led UIndy from nine wins his first season to 12 in year two and now 19 in year three with a NCAA Regional bid.

Nationally Ranked:  UIndy made its first appearance in the top 25 in seven years in the Feb. 1 poll at No. 22. It's the first national ranking since being No. 25 on Feb. 3, 2004. The Hounds received votes in seven-straight polls from Jan. 11 to Feb. 22.

All-Region: Adams received preseason national recognition by garnering 2010-11 Preseason All-American Honorable Mention from both The Sporting News and Division II Bulletin.

He was named Daktronics First Team All-Region on Wednesday and is now eligible for the All-America team. Adams is seventh in the country and first in the GLVC with 23.5 points per game, while adding 5.8 rebounds (13th GLVC), 3.9 assists (10th), 1.9 steals (2nd), .870 FT% (6th), 2.73 3FGM/game (3rd) and 4.7 defensive rebounds (4th).

The six-foot, 165-pounder has scored in double figures every game this season, including 19 games of 20 points or more and four of 30-plus with a career-high and then-GLVC season-high 41 points at Illinois-Springfield on Jan. 2. Adams has scored in double figures in 36 consecutive games dating back to 2009-10.

He notched his sixth career double-double and second this season with 34 points and 17 rebounds at Lewis on Jan. 15. His 17 rebounds are tied for the most in the GLVC this season and the most for a Greyhound since Brad Borgman at Wisconsin-Parkside (17) on Nov. 30, 2000. He had a near triple-double at KWC with 22 points, 10 assists and nine boards. He has four double-doubles this season and eight in his career.

With 1,154 career points, Adams is the 35th 1,000-point scorer in UIndy history. He also has 100 career steals, which is ninth in school history. This season, he is seventh in school history with 141 FTM and sixth with 610 points.

All-GLVC:  Adams and Moss were named All-GLVC in voting by conference coaches. Adams was named to the first team and Moss was placed on the third team.

This is the second straight year for Adams after being on the second team last season. Adams is the first Greyhound named to the first team since David Logan in 2005, which was also the last time more than one Greyhound earned all-league honors (Logan, Lawrence Barnes).
