NATIONALLY RANKED
The Greyhounds dropped from 5th to 11th in the latest
NABC Division II Coaches Top 25 after last week's pair of defeats.
UIndy has been ranked in all seven regular season polls this season. UIndy has been in the Top 25 for 31 polls in school history, 13 times during
Stan Gouard's tenure.
SERIES HISTORY
The Greyhounds are 3-0 against McKendree, but the series has been dormant since an 89-75 win during the 1964-65 season. UIndy also won during the 1961-62 (92-77) and 1963-64 (90-86) campaigns.
The Greyhounds are 40-46 against the Knights after knocking off the No. 1 team in the country, 99-94, in overtime in last year's meeting at Nicoson. The overall series still has been recently controlled by BU with wins in 9-of-10.
ABOUT McKENDREE
The Bearcats' (from Lebanon, Ill.) 147 three-pointers are tops in the GLVC and they lead the league in 3FG% defense (.272), but are last in FG% defense (.473). Evansville native Clinton Happe, a 6-1 junior, is second in the GLVC with 18.2 ppg and first with 51 three-pointers. McKendree is coached by Harry Statham, who in his 47th season is the all-time wins leader in college basketball history (1,068-423).
ABOUT BELLARMINE
The Louisville-based Knights lead the GLVC by allowing just 61.5 ppg and by shooting 52.1 percent overall. Wright State 6-3 junior transfer Vance Hall leads the team with 15.7 ppg, while 6-2 senior Chris Dowe adds 14.1 ppg, 5.1 rpg and 4.8 apg.
