HEAR IT FROM THE HOUNDS Junior
Jacob Meyer: "It's great to head into the conference tournament with momentum and get a win in dramatic fashion against a good team. We're a really confident team right now and we have to focus on getting some good training sessions in before the game on Sunday. We need to keep doing the little things right and go out and execute on Sunday."
Â
Head coach John Higgins: "That was a big win for us. We knew it was going to be a tough game for us and we got a great win to not only finish second in the GLVC, but improve our standings in the NCAA Regional Rankings. We started off great but we fell back into some old habits late in the game. We kept possession just to have it and didn't really attack but we bounced back and showed some great character to get the win in double overtime."
Â
"Drury is a really good team and we need to be at our best. Now that it's conference tournament time, it's anyone's game. We showed that last year winning the tournament as a six seed. We like the matchup with the way that we line up against Drury. Now it's up to our guys to go out and execute."
