ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The UIndy swimming and diving teams earned another of pair road wins in GLVC action Saturday. A week after notching a dual sweep at William Jewell, the Greyhounds turned the trick at Lewis, with the UIndy  men coming out on top of a 134-70 final and the women winning, 120-85.

"I was very pleased with the way we competed and raced," said head coach
Jason Hite. "We are starting to get some speed and feeling less tired in the water.

"I continue to feel good about how we will perform at GLVCs."

The Greyhounds rode to victory on the strength of four pool-record performance. Swimmers on both squads set new pool marks in the 100 breaststroke, as junior
Karolina Szymaszek (1:06.47) and junior
Bartosz Zarzecki (57.09) each won their respective events.

Freshman
Vitor Botana pulled a rare double with wins in both the 100 and 1000 free, with the former time of 46.91 good for another individual pool record. Meanwhile,
Rodrigo Codo Berti, Zarzecki,
Bucky Coonradt and
Marius Bornkessel combined for the fourth and final pool mark of the afternoon, winning the 200 medley relay in 1:32.37.

Freshman sprinter
Stefanie Haholiades continued her solid rookie season with wins in the 50 and 100 free. The UIndy women also took the 200 freestyle relay, with
Malvina Shoukri, Maddie Mahoney,
Alexis Dobrzynski and
Hannah Schuster combining for a 1:25.51.

The Greyhounds return to home to the Ruth Lily Center for a Senior Day match-up with double dual versus Missouri-St. Louis and Maryville Saturday, Jan. 30.
