6 UIndy Greyhounds (7-0, 4-0) at Lincoln Blue Tigers (1-5, 0-3)
Saturday, Oct. 21, 6 p.m. ET, Jefferson City, MO
ON TAP
The No. 6 Greyhounds put their unblemished record on the line when they travel to Jefferson City, Mo., to face the Lincoln Blue Tigers in the first of two consecutive road contests.
HOUNDS vs. BLUE TIGERS
The relatively-short series between UIndy and Lincoln has been quite one-sided to date, with the Greyhounds winning all four previous match-ups by an average score of 43-15. Last season, UIndy used a 21-point third quarter to pull away in a
38-7 victory. The Hounds held the visiting Tigers to just 132 total yards while racking up season bests with six sacks and 11 tackles for a loss.
Though the Blue Tigers have won just one of their six contests heading into the weekend, they lead the nation with six blocked kicks and rank second with four blocked punts. They also sit fifth in Division II in total defense, allowing just 264.3 yards per game.
LAST TIME OUT
The Greyhounds delivered their most decisive win of the season last week, routing the visiting Quincy Hawks,
55-0, at Key Stadium. UIndy scored a touchdown on each of its first four possessions and went on to lead by 35 points at the half. The final score represented the first shutout by the Hounds since 2013.
MASSIVE MARGIN
The 55-point margin of victory versus Quincy is good for the fifth-most lopsided win in program history. The Hounds have won by 50 or more on seven occasions, with five of those seven coming in shutouts and only one occurring on the road.

HOT HOUNDS
Off to its best start since 1973, UIndy is hoping to tie a pair of long-standing program records this weekend. The Hounds, who enter the weekend as winners of their last 11 games dating back to last year, are just one win shy of matching school benchmarks for both wins to start a season and consecutive victories. The 1953 team started (and finished) 8-0, and combined with a 4-0 start to the 1954 campaign, gave the program a 12-game win streak in the two seasons combined.
WHAT A RUSH
UIndy racked up a season-high 383 rushing yards versus Quincy last week, most since reaching that same total versus Saint Joseph's back in 2012. Both
Al McKeller (143) and
Tyre Lee (105) went from over 100 yards on the night. With Lee's career-high total hitting triple digits, that gives the Greyhounds four players – McKeller (3 games),
Andrew Walker (1),
Tyre Lee (1) and
Jake Purichia (1) – with at least one 100-yard-rushing game this season, most since single-game stats became available in 1983.
RECORD WATCH
Speaking of
Andrew Walker, the veteran running back is creeping up the UIndy annals in a number of categories. He enters the weekend needing just two rushing touchdowns to tie the all-time UIndy record of 38, set by Klay Fiechter in 2013. He is also just 75 yards shy of becoming the fifth-ever Greyhound to reach 3,000 career rushing yards.
REGIONAL CONCERNS
One week away from the release of the initial NCAA Division II regional rankings, here's some of the latest goings-on in Super Region 3. UIndy is one of just three undefeated teams remaining in the region, including two-time defending-national-champ Northwest Missouri State. The Bearcats are 7-0 on the year, part of a ridiculous 37-game winning streak overall. Fellow-MIAA-school Fort Hays State is also 7-0 on the season. The two will play each Nov. 4.
Meanwhile, GLIAC-schools Ashland, Grand Valley and Ferris State; as well as Great American Conference-institution Southeastern Oklahoma State are all one-loss teams.
Seven of the region's 42 schools will qualify for the NCAA DII playoffs when the 28-team field is announced Nov. 12.
