LEBANON, Ill. – The venue was different but the result was the same for UIndy football Saturday afternoon. The seventh-ranked Greyhounds (6-0, 3-0 GLVC) followed three consecutive home wins with a 28-10 victory at McKendree University and Leemon Field, breaking a tie for first with the Bearcats (4-2, 2-1) in the GLVC standings. HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 21-3, the Bearcats managed their first touchdown of the day with an 80-yard scoring drive. The Greyhounds answered right back on their ensuing possession, however, needing just seven plays to traverse 56 yards, capped by a

The Greyhounds were held scoreless for the first quarter until back-to-back touchdown drives in the second led to a 14-3 halftime lead. The scores came courtesy of senior

UIndy opened the second half with a lengthy scoring drive, capped by Payton's second score of the day, to go up 21-3.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Junior linebacker
Cole Sigmund had a career day, racking up a personal-high 20 tackles. It marked the first time a Greyhound had 20 tackles or more since Bruce Renner's 28 stops versus Hillsdale in 2004.
- Senior H-back
Alex Kimack collected season highs with five catches and 81 receiving yards.
- Â Five Greyhounds garnered four carries or more on the way to a team total of 47 rushing attempts.
- The Greyhounds reached season highs in both offensive plays from scrimmage (66) and first downs (22).
- Redshirt-freshman
Mitch Dewitt garnered his first career start, amassing 14 tackles and a pass break-up from the cornerback spot.
