INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy diving team pulled off a successful early-season meet Friday and Saturday, as three school records were broken and a number of personal bests were set at the UIndy Diving Invitational. Sophomore
Cassie Kury surpassed her own program marks on both the 1- and 3-meter boards, while junior
Josh Zylstra eclipsed his previous school mark on the 1-meter.
Â
With the Greyhounds and future GLVC-member Lindenwood as the only competitors, the event got underway Friday evening with the women on the 3-meter and the men on the 1-meter. All six Greyhounds who competed set new PRs on the night, including record-breakers Kury and Zylstra.
Â
Kury totaled 472.75 on the high board, besting the previous 11-dive program high of 468.05 she herself set in her All-America performance at last year's NCAA DII Championships. Meanwhile, Zylstra amassed 530.8 points on the 1-meter, besting the 523.20 he scored as the national runner-up last March.
