UIndy added another win over a Division I program today. The Greyhounds defeated Eastern Kentucky 6-1, via Division I doubles rules. Magnus Mueller and Christoph Drechsler, along with Nils Hoffacker and Matej Kostadinov secured the doubles competition for UIndy.

Mueller and Drechsler defeated Gab Ruiz and Ed Cabral 6-3. While number three doubles Hoffacker and Kostadinov took the 6-4 win over Carlos Dodero and Guillem Sanchis.

Mueller garnered the first win in the singles competition for the Hounds, with a 7-6(5), 6-0 win over Sanchis. Dario Huber followed suit through a 6-3, 7-6(5) victory over Gab Ruiz.Drechsler clinched the team victory for UIndy after defeating Dodero 6-3, 6-0.

Despite already having the victory, the Hounds played on and Hoffacker, who lost his first set 3-6, bounced back over Ramon van Flymen with a second set win of 7-5, followed by 7-6(1). Matteo Videau was the last win for the Greyhounds by defeating Nic Castaldo 6-4, 6-0.

UIndy will take on Tiffin University at home on Friday, February 23. The match is set to start at 4 p.m. at the UIndy Tennis Center.
