WINGATE, N.C. - The University of Indianapolis Greyhounds' men's lacrosse team knocked off the No. 16-ranked Wingate Bulldogs on the road on Saturday, 9-8.

The Hounds opened the scoring with a Shawn Kimble goal early in the first, but the Bulldogs responded with a four-goal run to end the first with a 4-1 lead. Parker Johnson and Parker Kump scored in the second to keep pace with the Bulldogs, who took a 6-3 lead to halftime.

After going down 7-3 early in the third, the Hounds ripped off six unanswered goals. Kump completed his hat trick and Parker Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Sam Horning, and Kimble all grabbed goals as the Hounds roared to a late 9-7 lead before holding off the Bulldogs for a 9-8 win.

The Hounds out-shot Wingate 45-37, putting 31 of their shots on target. Greyhounds goalkeeper Austin Barnett saved 13 shots (61.9%) and led the team in ground balls with seven.
