GRAND LAKES, Colo. – As the 2018 women's lacrosse season comes to a close after the national championship game last weekend, the IWLCA released its final rankings for the spring. UIndy, who wrapped up its third year with a 16-4 record, a conference title, and a berth to the NCAA tournament, polls at No. 12 in the final set voted on by coaches.

Le Moyne won its first national title this season, claiming all 25 first-place votes in the poll. Among Midwest region opponents, Regis jumped to No. 7 after advancing to its first national semifinal game. Lindenwood, ranked atop the country heading into the postseason, dropped to fourth in the final rankings.

It was an historic season for the Greyhounds, who climbed to as high as No. 8 in both the IWLCA and Nike/US Lacrosse polls, saw its run end in the first round of the NCAA Midwest regional to Regis. UIndy nearly matched its win total from its first two seasons combined (18), while claiming the GLIAC tournament championship before accepting a bid to the NCAA tournament.

The Hounds had nine players receive all-conference honors, while four earned all-region accolades:
Delaney Davidson,
Lauryn Hardoy,
Riley McClure, and
Abigail Lagos. The All-American announcement will be in June, in which all first-team all-region players will have a chance to be named one of the best in the country.

Hardoy finished her rookie campaign with 90 points, setting a new program high in the category. Davidson, who transferred in for her sophomore season, broke the goals record with 66 tallies.
Peyton Romig also set a new standard on the draw, winning 152 in her freshman season. Along with breaking single-season records with 46 ground balls and 43 caused turnovers, McClure now holds the career mark after her sophomore season.

Anna Rulapaugh concludes her three-year career as a Greyhound as the all-time leader in points (173), goals (107), and assists (66).
