ROLLA, Mo. - The UIndy volleyball team (10-5, 5-2 GLVC) lost its second straight match on Saturday afternoon, falling in straight sets at Missouri S&T (9-5, 3-3 GLVC). 

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Greyhounds jumped out to a 6-2 lead in the opening set before momentum shifted toward the host Miners. Missouri S&T knotted it at seven apiece and grabbed a 13-8 lead before holding on to win the first set. 

The second game looked promising from the beginning, as well, for the Hounds, securing the first three points. However, the Miners failed to back down, limiting the Greyhound attack to just 15 points the rest of the way. 

The Hounds and Miners went back and forth in the third set until the visitors trailed 22-18 late. After winning the next four points to tie the set, the Greyhounds dropped three of the next four to fall in three. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Katie Furlong led the Greyhounds with 15 kills on .238 hitting, averaging 5.0 per set.

Katie Voelz registered six kills on .333 hitting in the loss, marking the third time in the past four matches the senior has had at least six terminations.

Olivia Martin scooped up 15 digs to pace the Hounds defensively. Taylor Jacquay and Alyssa Spears also picked up 10 digs on Saturday, while Emily Ellis led the team with three blocks.

UIndy will play just one match next weekend, hosting No. 4 Lewis. The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon at Ruth Lilly Fitness Center.
