KENOSHA, Wisc. - The 12th-ranked University of Indianapolis Greyhounds took on the #1 team in the country, St. Cloud State, Saturday, January 12 at Wisconsin-Parkside's Ranger Duals. The Huskies came out on top by a final score of 34-6.
After a decisive victory for the Huskies at 125, 133-pounder
Ana Abduljelil defeated Brandon Briggs with an impressive 5-3 win to put the Hounds on the board. The Huskies then held on to close victories at 141, 149, and 157 pounds. #11
Shelden Struble continued his dominant stretch with a 2-1 victory over Devon Donovan at 165 pounds. The Hounds once again lost a nail biter at 174 pounds, as
Zach Fry lost 3-1 to #3 ranked Kolton Eischens, followed by a tech fall win for St. Cloud State at 184 pounds.
The Huskies took back-to-back pins at 197 and 285, to close out the dual between the two top 15 programs.
Your Greyhounds continue a stretch of dual meets against ranked opponents when they travel to Findlay, OH Wednesday at 7 p.m. to take on the Findlay Oilers. The following Saturday the Hounds will host a trio of regional opponents as they take on #11 Tiffin, #17 Ashland, and Davenport. The program will also honor its seniors before the final dual, which starts at 6 p.m. Come out and support your Hounds, as wrestling begins at 2 p.m. in the ARC.
